WELCOME TO THE ADVENTURE: ROAR, EXPLORE, AND MORE!
Did your child just join Cub Scouts? Then this event is built specifically for YOU! If you are brand new to our Scouting family, "Roar, Explore, and More" is the perfect, low-pressure introduction to the great outdoors. Hosted at beautiful Camp Boddie, this special day is designed to show your new Scout exactly what being a Cub Scout is all about—fun, friendship, and hands-on discovery.
No prior camping or outdoor experience is required. Just bring your energy, and we will handle the rest!
First-Time Scouting Experiences Include:
Gear Up: Build and customize your very own Cub Scout "6 Essentials" gear bag to take home!
First Shots: Try out our shooting sports ranges with safe, expert instruction perfect for beginners.
Camp Games and Exploration: High-energy games where new Scouts can bond and make friends outside of regular pack meetings.
No Stress for Parents: A fully prepared lunch and all activity supplies are completely included in your registration!
Ready for Your First Campout? (Optional)
Want to jump right into the full Scouting experience? You can opt to camp with us starting Friday night for just an additional $5 per person—and we will even cook dinner for you Friday evening! It is the ultimate, hassle-free way to try out family camping.

When: Saturday, September 26, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Where: Camp Boddie (419 Camp Bonner Boy Scout Rd, Blounts Creek, NC)
New Family Special Pricing: Register before September 16 to lock in the Early Bird rate ($25 per Scout / $10 per Adult).
