Pamlico Sea Base High Adventure Summer Program

Pamlico Sea Base High Adventure Summer Program
Pamlico Sea Base (PSB) is the premier aquatic high-adventure program of the East Carolina Council, located along the scenic Pamlico River in Blounts Creek, NC. Operating on a Sunday-to-Saturday schedule, PSB offers older Scouts, Venturers, and Sea Scouts a rugged, water-based challenge.
Because it shares a campus with Camp Boddie, your unit can travel together! Younger Scouts can attend traditional summer camp at Boddie while your older youth take on a Sea Base trek.
Choose Your Adventure:
Outer Banks Expedition (OBX): PSB’s flagship sea kayaking trek. Crews pack their gear into sea kayaks and paddle through the wild islands of Cape Lookout National Seashore. Includes camping on uninhabited barrier islands, coastal wildlife viewing, and touring historic lighthouses.
Inner Banks Expedition — IBX (Base-Camp): A high-octane multi-sport program based out of the camp waterfront. Scouts enjoy sailing, jet skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, and kayaking, alongside day excursions to the Outer Banks for deep-sea fishing and beach days.
Blackbeard Sailing Expedition — BSX (Expedition): A 5-day sailing trek navigating the historic waters once sailed by Blackbeard. Crews learn big-boat navigation and sailing, with stops at historic coastal towns like Bath and Beaufort.
Participant Requirements:
Age: Must be at least 14 years old by the start of camp.
Swim Level: All participants (youth and adults) must pass the BSA Swimmer Test.
Medical: Valid BSA Annual Health and Medical Record (Parts A, B, and C).
