Wilderness First Aid Training

This is an 18 hour course starting promptly at 7:00pm on Friday and ending around Noon on Sunday, Minimum age is 14 years,

This course is designed for outdoor enthusiasts, adventurers, and anyone who enjoys spending time in remote or rugged environments. This hands-on, comprehensive course provides essential skills and knowledge to respond effectively to medical emergencies when professional help is not immediately available.

Throughout the course, participants will learn how to assess and manage injuries and illnesses in wilderness settings, including trauma care (sprains, fractures, and bleeding), environmental emergencies (hypothermia, heat exhaustion), and medical conditions like allergic reactions and asthma attacks. The course also emphasizes patient assessment, basic life-saving techniques (CPR and AED), and how to handle emergencies until help arrives or evacuation is possible.

This course blends practical skills with classroom learning to ensure that participants gain the confidence and expertise to respond to emergencies safely and effectively. Whether you’re hiking, camping, kayaking, or engaging in any outdoor adventure, this Wilderness First Aid course will provide you with the tools to keep yourself and others safe in the great outdoors.

Come prepared for backpacking including, any First Aid supplies you would carry with you. This equipment and supplies will be used as teaching aids.

Prerequisite: Current Adult CPR/AED through the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or other nationally recognized provider that does not expire until after the end of the course.
