This merit badge will cover where our resources come from and how they are extracted. This is the perfect merit badge for anyone interested in explosives, rocks, heavy equipment, nature, or the environment.

Ken Veith is a practicing Mining Engineer with 5 years' experience in the industry.

The badge will be taught in two sessions during North Star round table in August and September, with an optional field trip (dates tbd) of an active mine in the area.
