Great merit badge for anyone interested in the outdoors, or just looking to learn a bit more about your own collection.

Scouts may bring their own rock collections of 10 rocks to the first class for the identification requirement (4C 3a)

There will also be a site visit to cover requirement 6.  That date and location is TBD. 

Geology Merit Badge Overview

Geology is the study of Earth. It includes the study of materials that make up Earth, the processes that change it, and the history of how things happened, including human civilization, which depends on natural materials for existence.
