Get Hooked on Fun! Join the Cardinal District Fishing Derby!

Calling all Cub Scouts (ages 5-12) for a splashing good time at the Cardinal District Fishing Derby! Grab your gear and get ready for a morning of fishing, learning, and outdoor adventure.

What to Expect:

This is a fantastic opportunity for Cub Scouts to enjoy the great outdoors and practice their fishing skills! We'll provide bait, and Harris Lake will have some fishing rods available for use on a first-come, first-served basis. Scouts are also welcome and encouraged to bring their own fishing equipment if they prefer.

Important Notes for Participants:

Registration: A fee of $5 per Cub Scout is required to participate.

Parental Supervision: This is NOT a drop-off event. Parents or guardians must accompany their Cub Scouts throughout the entire derby. (No fee for parents!)

Attire: No formal uniforms are needed. Class B uniforms (Scouting t-shirts) are perfectly fine!

Be Prepared: It will be a hot summer day! Please ensure your Scout is prepared for outdoor conditions by bringing:

A refillable water bottle

Sun/heat protection (hats, sunscreen, etc.)

Snacks

A chair (if desired for comfort)

Parking: We will have signs directing you to the designated parking field located across the street from the fishing pond.

Come make some memories, reel in a few catches, and enjoy a wonderful morning by the water with your fellow Cub Scouts!
