ADDITIONAL EVENT DETAILS TO COME

IOLS is required outdoor training for all Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, and Venturing Crew Advisers. The skills taught are based on the outdoor skills found in The Scouts' BSA Handbook. 

Instructors help students learn how to: 

• Set up camp
• Cook
• Work with wood tools
• Ropes
• First aid
• Plan campfire programs
• Map reading and compass skills
• Hiking and packing techniques
• Nature identification
• Leave No Trace

Some recommended equipment to bring to IOLS includes: 

• Scout uniform
• Clothing for weather
• Rain gear
• Personal first aid kit
• Flashlight
• Matches and fire starters
• Pocket knife

The registration fee includes ALL MEALS.  This training does require overnight camping in a tent. Please let us know if you have any questions.
