Cub Scout Summer Adventure Camp

Event Details

“THE COOLEST CAMP IN THE NORTHEAST” IS THE ULTIMATE,
CUB SCOUT ADVENTURE DESTINATION THIS SUMMER

Ask any Scout of any age of their fondest memories in Scouting and undoubtedly the first thing mentioned will be Summer Camp.
Summer camp at Camp Kingsley is where boys and girls learn self-reliance, build character, and create friendships that last a lifetime. Signing up your child or unit for summer resident camp means that your Scout(s) will not miss out on an amazing experience where they learn crucial skills for a successful life.

Camp Kingsley, a residential summer camp for Scouts, is in Ava New York. It is home to over 150 sleep-away campers and more than 25 highly trained staff members who come from across the Leatherstocking Council and New York State. Our Camp was founded in 1921 and continues to provide an exciting and enriching summer camp experience for Cub Scouts, Tiger - Arrow Of Light. Campers and leaders can enjoy a variety of activities such as swimming, hiking, boating, field sports, canoeing, mountain biking, range sports (archery, BB guns), and crafts just to name a few. At Camp Kingsley, Cub Scouts can expect to share new experiences, learn about themselves, and mold friendships that will last them a lifetime. Tigers need to bring a parent along for the adventure. Parents and Leaders can wake up and get a cup of coffee at our brand-new welcome center next to our centrally located dining hall before having a fun day alongside their Cub Scouts.

For 2024, Camp Kingsley has many new additions to the facilities and program. A brand-new trading post and health lodge are now located inside the newly built Barnes Welcome Center. New fishing docks and new mountain bike trails are also just some of the new additions to camp to help ensure that Scouts have an amazing experience. When Scouts come home from camp, they will be excited to talk about the new friends they made, their adventures in the woods, the songs they sang around the campfire, and all the great things they learned. But the most rewarding thing will be seeing the big smile on their faces as they ask if they can go again next year.

“The staff was incredible towards the scouts, and the facilities were great for my Bear Cub! I strongly recommend this camp for any Scout.” – Jeromy D.
