Merit Badge Madness 2026

Location: SUNY Oneonta

Open to all Scouts BSA (Scout Rank and higher: including Eagle Scouts earning palms)

Date & Time: Saturday January 3 2026

8-8:45 am: registration

9:00 am opening ceremony

9:00 – 12:00 Morning session

12-12:45pm lunch

1-4:00: afternoon session

4:00 pm closing ceremony

Fees: The cost for this event is $25 per scout.  Payments will not be accepted on day of event.

Registration: Please register online at leatherstockingcouncil.org before December 28, 2025, No walk ins or late registrations.  Scouts BSA ID number is required.

Lunch: Lunch WILL NOT be served this year. All scouts should bring their own lunch and drink.

Uniform: All Scouts attending should be in Class A Uniform

 Please consult 7.0.0.3 The Scout, the Unit Leader, and the Merit Badge Counselor in the Guide to Advancement before registering a Scout for a Merit Badge at this event. 

Merit Badge Completion:   upon completion of all requirements for assigned merit badge, your counselor will sign off in scout book.  Please have your scout ID # available.  Some classes have pre and/or post requisites.

Limited space: 1st come 1st serve. Classes sizes limited to 20 scouts
