Note: Due to covid-19 concerns and guidelines, the camp will not be providing meals this year. Therefore, the price will remain at the discounted Early Bird rate for all participants.

** Special registration rate of $40 when two Adults sign up with one scout.  One of those adults must volunteer each night at camp assisting group leaders at each camp activity you visit. Volunteer must have up to date Youth Protection Training.  Only 15 slots available.

Detailed information about Twilight Camp

Twilight camp is a unique summer camp program that allows parents and Scouts (ranks Tiger to Arrow of Light) to participate in outdoor programs together without parents taking significant time out of work.  This camp is designed for Scouts and their parents to experience the adventure of Scouting together.   This camp also prepares families for extended resident camp experiences at Cub Scout Adventure Camp at J. Warren Cutler Scout Reservation or Cub Scout Resident Camp at Babcock-Hovey.

What is Twilight Camp? 

Twilight Camp is Seneca Waterway's premier “Day Camp” for Tigers, Wolfs, Bears, Webelos and Arrow of Light.  It is conducted by the council under certified leadership at an approved site.  The camp is offered in the early evening hours and does not include any overnight activities.  Scouts will attend on all 4 evenings accompanied by their parent or cub scout leader, but will return home to sleep.

When is Twilight Camp?  

It is on Monday August 10 through Thursday, Aaugust 13, 2020.  It is conveniently located at Camp Eastman in Irondequoit, New York.  The program starts by 6p m and generally is concluded by 8:30 pm.  From 5:30 pm-6 pm, Packs will check in at the registration table each night to get wrist bands and their daily itinerary.  Packs will have a chance to gather their scouts and be ready to start activities by 6pm.

How do I get to camp?  

Camp Eastman is fairly easy to get to on Lake Shore Boulevard from either Route 104 or I-590.  Most Cub Scout Packs will coordinate car pools such that some parents will arrive straight from work, while others travel in from the suburbs with the kids. 

How much is Twilight Camp?  

Attendees  will pay $50 per Scout This covers admission for activities all four evenings, the Scout's camp shirt, and event patch!

Does Twilight Camp offer any special discounts? 

Generally paying early is the discount.  Earn a discount on your Scout's registration if 2 adults are signing up to attend the day camp.  One of those Adults will be asked to volunteer each night.  Youth Protection Training must be up to date.  This cost will be $40 plus meals.  We are always looking for extra hands to assist our Tour Guides keeping the Scouts on task between activities as well as assisting at each activity you attend each night.  Parents are there to participate in the activities too!  We are looking for 15 Adults to sign up as Camp Volunteers and assist each night you are there at Camp.  

What kind of activities does Twilight Camp offer? 

Twilight Camp is organized around a theme – this year's theme is “Down on the Farm”!!!   Each night there are 3 or more activities.  Activities may include things like wood craft, construction projects, Scout skills and lore, and of course games.  Popular events from past years have included archery, water bottle rockets, obstacle courses, and a rope bridge.

How do I sign up for Twilight Camp? 

We ENCOURAGE Packs to register as a group.  We would like to keep everyone together!  One person, typically a Pack Leader or Pack Camp Coordinator, will sign Scouts up for this event.  You'll let them know that you are interested in attending and will register everyone at once.  That coordinator will give you a registration form to fill out and return it to them as well as give you details of the event.
