For the price of $15.00, Scouts will  have a morning of fishing with a two fish limit, a freshly stocked lake and a commemorative event patch. Paid Scouts will fish from 8:00 am – 11:00 am (Listen for the cannon’s roar to make your first cast!) Paid Adults fish from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Fishing not enough action? There will be games and challenges for kids, archery, fish cleaning, guided overlook hike, and fly tying demonstrations all morning long. Meals are not included so be sure to bring your own lunch.

Over 100 new fish will be stocked in Lake Wellington in advance of the fishing derby. Your chances of catching a fish are pretty high but not guaranteed. J. Warren Cutler Scout Reservation is a special fishing preserve and a fishing license is NOT required.

Prizes will be awarded to the first 75 youth who catch two fish prior to 11:00 a.m. A special drawing will be held at 11:30 for the Scout derby qualifiers. 

Bait and lures will be sold on site for your convenience at the Cub Scout Adventure Camp Trading Post, which will be open for those early risers! Be sure to catch the CSAC shirts and merchandise before your scouts register for camp!
