Description:
Archery is a great way to provide your unit with a fun and challenging activity.
For a Scouts BSA Troop, you must at least carry a US Archery Level 1 certification to be qualified to run an archery range for your unit.
Requirements for obtaining US Archery Level 1 Certification:
- An up-to-date USA Archery membership
- Completion of the SafeSport Program course
- Completion of USA Archery's background screening
- Completion of the NTS Level 1 Online Certification Course
- Completion of the Level 1 Practical
Participants must be a minimum of 15 years old.
Requirements for US Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification
- Minimum Age: 18 (A student who is 17 years old and within 30 days of his/her birthday may take the Level 2 Archery Instructor Certification Course. However, the instructor may not submit the Application Data form until the student turns 18 years of age).
- Membership to the USA Archery or the National Field Archery Association
- U.S. Center of SafeSport Training
- USA Archery Background Screening (Please note: you will not be able to register for the Level 2 course until the screening has been cleared by NCSI. Screenings typically take about 7-10 business days).
