STEM NOVA  -Virtual Adventures-  is here to excite and expand a sense of wonder in your Scouts!

Modules are set up encouraging the natural curiosity of Scouts and broadening their knowledge about different STEM -Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics- fields. Various modules allow Scouts to explore the basic principles of STEM with registered counselors while discovering how fun and fascinating STEM can be, along with how STEM applies in today's world.

BSA STEM has two level of awards. While NOVA Awards are the basic level, SUPERNOVA Awards are a step up, offering a super challenge to those that enjoy one. Discover how the STEM NOVA Awards program helps you Scout 'Be Prepared. For Life.'  Scouts will receive gold cards to take back to their units (Troop or Crew) for recognition of their efforts. (Gold cards work on the same concept as Merit Badges' Blue Cards.)

Cost:  $5.00 per session.

Please Be Aware: 
Google Classrooms are used after the Virtual STEM NOVA sessions for worksheet drop offs so Scouts, with the permission of their parent. Scouts MUST have a gmail account to be able to access the Google classroom.  If two or more siblings are take STEM NOVA sessions, EACH sibling must have a separate gmail address for their workbook submissions.

Merit Badges Tie In:
Better yet, merit badges are tied into the BSA STEM program so if your Scouts are doing Virtual Merit Badges, Check which ones apply toward STEM NOVA  & SUPERNOVA Awards by looking at the worksheets at the above link.  (Please be aware that merit badges cannot be used twice in the ten themed topics offered.)
