SWC Sea Base Expedition - 2025

On February 15 or 16, 2025, join the Seneca Waterways contingent of Scouts and Scouters who will be traveling together to Brinton Environmental Center on Summerland Key, Florida for an adventure at the BSA Sea Base.   .

Seneca Waterways is forming crews that will arrive at the center on February 15 or 16, depending on the reservation that is available and head out on for a 5 day sailing journey in the waters of the Florida Keys. 

You will paddleboard, ocean kayak, sail, boat, fish, snorkel coral reefs, learn about marine ecosystems, travel to Big Munson Island for an overnight adventure and visit historic Key West. Every day is a new adventure!

Adventure includes air travel to Florida, an overnight at Camp Jackson Sawyer, Snorkel gear and class, class B T-shirt, and more.

SWC Sea Base 2025 Contingent Costs

What this includes:

• Florida Sea Base - all meals included.
• Transportation to/from Florida.
• Overnight at Camp Jackson Sawyer.
• Food while traveling.
• 2 - Contingent moisture wicking T-Shirts.
• Snorkel gear and Snorkel class.
• Patches

Registration Deadline is January 11, 2024

Register by January 11, 2024 with a $500 down payment. Full payment is due by October 31, 2025.

Restrictions

• 14 years of Age
• First Class or higher

Crew Make-up

Crew sizes are limited to 8 persons. With 2 crews attending, we can have up to 16 persons register.

• Crew size 8 person maximum.
• 2 to 3 adult leaders.

NOTE: Currently, these are male crews. If we get interest from female adult leaders, we can form a girl crew or venture crew.  If we get a minimum of 5 Girls and 3 Adults for a female crew, we'll request a date for the them.
