Massawepie 2024 Outdoor Challenge “October Odyssey”

The “October Odyssey” is a weekend-long, scavenger-hunt, choose-your-own adventure challenge.  Scouts can select from dozens of activities both in camp and out of camp, earning points for each activity for their unit.  Prizes will be awarded for accumulating the most points during the weekend.  This is a chance to explore the vast Massawepie property as well as nearby places in the Adirondack Mountains.  A full list will be forthcoming of possible activities and how many points they’ll earn. 

Weekend Schedule 

Friday, October 11:  Units check-in and set up at Camp Pioneer  

Saturday, October 12:  Daily AM orientation, the Odyssey begins!  Dinner will be provided at 6pm at the Pioneer Dining Hall

Sunday, October 13:  Daily AM orientation, the challenge continues.  Breakfast will be provided at the pioneer Dining hall. There will be a campfire at 8pm followed by awarding of prizes. 

Cost:  $55/ person, youth and adults, includes two meals.  Firewood is available to purchase for an extra charge.
