In 2015, Massawepie issued a challenge to put a Scout group on the summit on top of every 46 Adirondack High Peak…and we rose to it!

This October, Scouts will face the Massawepie Summit Challenge. During the weekend of October 7-10, Scouts at Massawepie will collectively hike 1500 miles! Every mile hiked by every Scout and leader counts – whether it’s one mile on a trail at camp or the 50 mile hike around Cranberry Lake. Your hike will help us reach our goal.

Join us in taking on the challenge! The cost is $35 per Scout and leader for the weekend. This includes your campsite, a participant gift, and two meals (other meals are on your own). In camp programs will be available on Sunday. More information will be available in the Program Guide closer to the event.

Camping & Dining Information

Troops will check in at the Maintenance Shop with event staff upon arrival. Campsites will be assigned prior to the event at the discretion of the Property Superintendent. Units should bring their own tents. If planning to camp off of the Massawepie property, please note the maximum group sizes required at certain properties. 

Two meals will be provided to units  - Saturday Dinner and Sunday Breakfast. Specific dining procedures will be assessed closer to the event. Units are responsible for all other meals.
