2026 Greater Finger Lakes Council Ten Commandments Hike

Thanksgiving brings families together and gives us an opportunity to be grateful for all we have received.  Black Friday, the day after, is an often-stressful shopping experience, with crowds and long lines and crowded parking lots.

Why not try something different (or continue an established tradition) and join us for a Reverent Pause on "The 2026 Greater Finger Lakes Council Ten Commandments Hike"?

Join us as we travel to Churches and Congregations in the Hillcrest/Castle Creek area and learn about the diversity of beliefs in our community and how the common thread of the Ten Commandments unites people in Reverent Diversity.

Check-in for the Hike will begin at 8:30 AM at Valley Christian Reformed Church, 1452 River Road, Binghamton.  We plan to wrap up by 3:15 PM. There will be light refreshments during check-in and a light luncheon will be served mid-way through the hike.

We will have to drive to the locations, so a vehicle will be needed.  Please wear your uniform and remember your water bottle.  The event is open to Scouts and their families, Scouters, and the General Public.
