Camp Cutler – Walmsley Sawyer
Check-In: 8:15–8:30 AM Saturday - May 30, 2026

Step into the outdoors and sharpen the skills that make Scouting work. Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills is a hands-on, immersive weekend designed to give Troop leaders the confidence and experience to lead real outdoor programs.

You’ll camp, cook, practice core Scout skills, and experience the patrol method the same way your Scouts do. This training directly supports the outdoor skills required from Tenderfoot through First Class ranks and helps leaders bring stronger, safer, and more engaging adventures back to their units.

In this hands on course taught outdoors you will:

  • Learn by doing
  • Build real outdoor confidence
  • Train the way Scouts learn

Pre-requisite - Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster Training found on my.scouting.org - Please email either of the IOLS Course Directors with a copy of your completed training prior to May 26, 2026.

IOLS is Required training for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters. This training is highly recommended for all Troop leaders who want to support Scouts in having safe and fun outdoor adventures.
