Many Scouts first experience summer camp with their Troop. Joining your Troop for summer camp is a great time and every Scout should try to camp with their Troop. There are, however, additional camping opportunities offered at Baiting Hollow to help a Scout round out their camping experience or help advance in rank.

All Scouts BSA Camp programs listed below are resident/sleep away programs.

Aquatics Camp 

August 16th - August 21st

Splash into adventure at Lake Arrowhead. Spend a week in the water swimming, kayaking, canoeing, rowing, paddling, sailing, snorkeling and life-saving. Aquatics camp will also include motor boating and water skiing on Long Island Sound. Aquatics Camp is a resident/sleep away camp program.

The fee for Aquatics Camp is:

Bridge Camp 

June 28th - July 3rd

Bridge camp is a program for Scouts who have just bridged over from Webelos. During the day the Scout will be involved with our Brownsea "first year camper program". At night they will be in a campsite with other Scouts their age. They will have a chance to work on Totin' Chip, Fireman Chit, Baiting Hollow Naturalist and participate in all of the other camp programs. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to work on their first merit badge. Bridge Camp is a resident/sleep away camp program.

The fee for Bridge Camp is:     

Before April 1st - $600 per scout                    After April 1st - $625 per scout

Counselor-in-Training (CIT) 

July 5th - July18th

A Scout may enroll in the CIT program if they are at least 14 years old by July 5, 2026. Half the day is spent working next to experienced staff members to gain a hands-on look at camp programs. The second half of the day is spent on individual advancement and achievements including an opportunity to work on merit badges. Individuals who graduate from the CIT program have the opportunity to be considered for placement as a member of our Junior Staff Intern Program. If selected, Scouts can continue their training at no cost and spend the remainder of the summer working with our camp staff. Fishing Camp 

August 9th - August 14th

Campers will spend the week working on all things fishing!  They will work towards the Fishing, Fly Fishing and Fish & Wildlife Management Merit Badges all while still having time to participate in all the fun camp has to offer! Enjoy one of the few Council camps in our nation that offers both freshwater AND saltwater fishing on property! Fishing Camp is a resident/sleep away program.

Shooting Sports Camp

August 16th - August 21st

Our shooting sports program includes the opportunity to earn merit badges in rifle and archery shooting. Have fun tomahawk throwing, shooting sling shots and learning about black powder rifle. Scouts can earn NRA certifications in rifle shooting and NAA certifications in archery.  Minimum age to attend is 12. Shooting Sports Camp is a resident/sleep away camp program.

Trail to Eagle Camp

August 9th - August 14th

Our most popular specialty camp, Trail to Eagle Camp helps motivated Scouts walk down the trail to the Eagle Scout rank. Programs designed to help Scouts achieve required merit badges are in place and District Advancement Chairpersons are often in attendance to provide counseling on time management, Eagle Scout projects, and the paperwork required for the Eagle rank. All of the Eagle required merit badges, and only Eagle required merit badges, are offered during Trail to Eagle Camp. (Exceptions are Cycling, Hiking, Family Life, Sustainability, and Citizenship in Society.) This camp is not intended for first or second year campers. Campers registering for this program must have attained at least the First Class rank prior to attending. Trail to Eagle Camp is a resident/sleep away camp program.
