Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training is Scouting America's initial level of training for adult leaders of Scouts BSA Troops. It is designed primarily for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters. However, Troop Committee Members and other adult Scouts BSA leaders are welcome to attend.

This training takes place on two different nights. Attendance at both classes is mandatory for course completion.

Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters who complete Hazardous Weather Training, Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training, and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) are considered "trained" for those positions.

Hazardous Weather Training must be renewed every two years. It can be completed online in the Scouting America Learn Center at: training.scouting.org/courses/SCO_800
