UPDATE: Merit Badge Registration will open on 4/13 at 9am!!

Located on the shores of beautiful Lake Chautauqua in Mayville, New York, Camp Merz has been a beloved Scout camp for 90 years.

Scouts BSA Summer Camp Programs:

• Extensive Merit Badge Selection: With over 50 Merit Badges to choose from, Scouts can develop valuable skills and expand their horizons.
• Experienced Staff: Our seasoned and dedicated staff, many with 10+ years of service, ensure a safe and enriching Scouting experience.
• Private Waterfront: Camp Merz features an impressive 1500 feet of private waterfront along the picturesque 19-mile-long Chautauqua Lake, perfect for water-based activities and adventures, we are known for our Sailing, Canoeing, and Paddleboard as well as our Swim program. 
• 350-Acre Hardwood Forest: Nestled within a sprawling hardwood forest, our camp provides a natural backdrop for Scouting adventures. Most wooded campsites have pavilions and electric hookups.

Program Highlights:

• "Polaris" First Year Program designed for new and recently crossed over scouts. 
• Rifle & Shotgun Range with BSA Certified Rangemaster. 
• Trail to Eagle Center - Scouts can earn some of those hard to get Eagle Required Merit Badges. 
• Nature and Handicraft Programs - Everything from Leathercraft and Basketry to Inventing and Pottery!
• "Rangercraft" - Scouts learn practical skills through Trade Merit Badges like Automotive Repair, Safety, Plumbing, and more...
• Technology Center - Game Design, Digital Technology, and more make this a favorite spot for our Scouts!

We run a full host of camp-wide activies throughout the week, including "Cantina Night" with a DJ and Karaoke, our World Famous Water Carnival, and more fun around every corner. 

Last but not least - We are KNOWN for our food! Our dining hall provides delicious, hearty, filling meals for our Scouts & Leaders, and we can make accomodations for most food allergies and dietary requirements with proper notice.

Scouts BSA Resident Camp

Scouts $495 if paid by 4/1 5pm or $525 after
Adults $225
Provisional Scouts $495 if paid by 4/1 5pm or $525 after
Scouts returning for a 2nd Week $400.00

• Camp Deposit of $100 due at time of reservation to hold the site.
• You can start paying for Scots on 3/7/24.
• Scouts paid in full by 4/1 will receive a $30 discount taking the fee from $525 to $495.
• Merit badge class registration opens on 4/15 for all Scouts paid in full.

• All balances must be paid at least 2 weeks prior to the camp session as follows.
  • Week1 – 6/28/24 5pm
  • Week 2 – 7/5/24 5pm
  • Week 3 – 7/12/24 5pm
  • No changes are permitted after these dates.
