Greetings,

This year’s University of Scouting presents new opportunities.

First of all, this will be very first ever event under new Western New York Scout Council that will be the result of Greater Niagara Frontier Council and Iroquois Trail Council merger. This certainly marks a monumental time to bring together all Scouts, Scouters, Volunteers and Instructors/Trainers.

We have lot of new courses lined up for this year. In addition, we are offering Merit Badge topics, all related to STEM which dubbed under “STEM Academy”, for our Scouts. Indeed, take advantage of several to choose from!

Within the STEM Academy, there are certain Merit Badges are geared towards the upcoming STEM Camporee that will be held April 21-23 at Camp Sam Wood. Scouts planning on taking Merit Badges at the University will be required to attend the Camporee to finish up. Basic details about that are described inside the Registration Packet. A separate, more detailed packet for the STEM Camporee provided separately. All Scouts and their leaders should read both of them.

There will be Midway of vendors, both profit and non-profit, and ones related to Scouting programs. We encourage everyone to visit the Midway! Various flyers will be in your registration folder when you check in. Feel free to share with your unit.
