Cub Scout Shooting Sports
Rangemaster Training
For BB Guns, Archery and Sling Shots
Also Includes the Portable BB-gun Range
& the New Hoover Archery Range

2 Training Dates Available in 2022
 

Sunday, April 24th, 1 to 5 pm at Camp Gorton

Meet at the Camp HQ Building by 12:45 pm
PRE-REGISTRATION REQ. by, April 17th at the Scout Shop or On Line
 

Saturday, May 22nd, 1 to 5 pm at Camp Gorton

Meet at the Camp HQ Building by 12:45 pm
PRE-REGISTRATION REQ. by, May 15th at the Scout Shop or On Line

Cost to become certified as a Cub Scout Shooting Sports Rangemaster is just $10.00.
Cub Scout Day Camp Range Officer - Must be 18 or older and certified before camp begins.

Range Training Includes:

  • Best Ways to Instruct Scouts
  • Range Set up
  • Range Safety & Operations
  • Fun & the Awards Program
  • Equipment Use, Care, Storage and Inventory
  • Copy of the BSA Cub Shooting Sports Manual

Sling Shot Range Training will be offered but may or may not be a station at some or all Day Camps.

All Range Officer certifications are valid for 2 years and can ONLY be used at Cub Scout Day Camps, and official Five Rivers Council or District Shooting Sports events.

THE BSA DOES NOT AUTHORIZE UNITS TO CONDUCT THEIR OWN SHOOTING EVENTS AT ALL!
