This course is required BEFORE

Individuals can become certified as an

NRA Instructor for Rifle and Shotgun disciplines!

The Great Falls Council Shooting Sports Committee will be doing Rifle and/or Shotgun Basics on March 21, 2026, at Camp Gorton. The training will take place starting at 9:00AM in the dining hall. You will need to bring your lunch and whatever you want to drink for the day.

Basic Rifle & Shotgun training is a prerequisite for the NRA Rifle and Shotgun Instructor Training. This an 8 hour class

The NRA Basic Rifle and/or Shotgun Courses will cost $35 each for a total of $70 for both courses

You can only take one course: the Rangemaster or the Basic Rifle and Shotgun course you cannot take both.

If you are interested in becoming an NRA Rifle and/or Shotgun instructor, you MUST take the NRA Basic Rifle and/or Shotgun training first.
