For Cub Scouts:

* Bear
* Webelos
* Arrow of Light
Cub Scouts will have the opportunity to earn up to 2 NOVA Awards by completing the pre-requisite work and through fun, interactive, hands-on activities via round robin stations and experiments during the day.
Nova Award 1-2-3 GO! Cub Scouts will learn how Math affects them every day, through watching videos, research, conducting experiments on probability, calculating how much they would weigh on different planets, and cracking secret codes.
Nova Award Swing! Cub Scouts will explore how Engineering and simple machines make our lives easier by taking a part electronics to see how they work and learning about levers (especially on a playground) by drawing, testing, and learning about different types of them that we use everyday.
Camp Sam Wood. Saturday, May 31st.
Schedule:
8am check in
9am - 4:30pm STEM Activities
4:30pm - 5pm NOVA Award Presentation
5pm Departure Time
Scouts and leaders will have 30 minutes for lunch, please bring your own.
The Playground will not be available for Down-Time/Pack use.
Travel time to sessions is included in the programming day.
Please bring completed Health Forms- Parts A & B, and completed homework sheets, found on the event page.
Nova Awards are only available to Scouts Ranked Wolf and Above. Lower Ranks are not eligible for Nova Awards and will not recieve credit if they attend. See National's policy and more information here: https://www.scouting.org/stem-nova-awards/awards/cub-scout/
$10 ($15 late fee after May 18th) will cover the NOVA Awards for Scouts.
Registration ends May 24th.
We will not be accepting any walk-in Scouts.
Please register 1 (one) Adult for FREE when registering Cub Scouts. Adult will be required to stay.
There is no overnight Camping for Packs Friday or Saturday Night.
After registration you will receive a confirmation email. If you don't please check your spam folder. Look for an email from no-reply@247scouting.org
Registraiton Information: When registering you will need the date of birth for each Scout (some classes have minimum age) and their Member ID. If a Unit leader is creating the registration and logged in they should see it in the Unit Roster and it will autofill when that Scout is selected. You can also find this in my.Scouting.org (Unit Roster or profile) or Scoutbook Plus in the roster. The Great Falls Council will upload the advancement data for all GFC Units shortly after the event has ended.
