Scouts who recruit a friend to participate that then joins a Pack will be eligible to earn a special recruiter patch.  The Scout who recruits the most participants who are new to Scouting will receive a gift certificate to the Camp Gorton Trading Post for the 2021 summer camping season.

Other Important Information

This event is virtual. Participants will each get a packet of materials that are needed to be able to complete the required activities.  These packets will be available for pick up at the Scout store (Oct. 6th-8th). These packets can be mailed for an additional cost of $7 per packet (mailed no later than Oct. 5th). Choose this option through the online registration process.

The event will open at 9am on Saturday October 10th with a virtual opening ceremony.

The activities included are self-paced.  If your Scout does not complete them on the event day, they can still work on them in the following weeks.

An email will be sent to participants with the links to the program videos, videos will not be able to be opened prior to when the event starts on October 10th.

Use the advancement workbook provided and take pictures of your Scout completing the activities. Turn in the workbook provided in the event packet and pictures to your Scout’s Den Leaders or Cubmaster when completed for awarding of the belt loop/pin.  If you are connected through Scoutbook you can input what is completed and then let your Scout’s Cubmaster or Den Leader know.

Patches will be available to participants after the event.

We recommend that you send this flier with your promotional/recruitment materail. We have inlcuded a word version of the flier if you would like to add your Unit's custom BeAScout.org url and QR code.
