2026 Vigil Honor Weekend 

On September 5-6, 2026 the lodge will be hosting a overnight celebration for it's newest Vigil Honor Candidates followed by a Vigil Breakfast.

This weekend is open to anyone who is a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow. For anyone who is Vigil and is interested in helping with set up and participating in the overnight ceremony we will be arriving at Camp Gorton after lunch on Saturday to prepare the sites and perform walk-throughs of the nights activities. If you are a Vigil Honor Candidate we ask you to join us for dinner and then evening begins for you just after dark. 

This year our lodge's youth nomination committee selected 8 people from a pile of nominees to be considered Vigil Honor Candidates and they are:

Youth: 

• Elliot Bobo 
• Emily McGrain 
• Kate VanZile 
• Patrick VanZile 

Adults: 

• William Groeger 
• Kurt Groeger 
• Crystal VanZile 
• Steve Witherow 

A group of Vigil members will be staying up for all or portions of the night to keep the Vigil alongside the candidates, but if you need to sleep we will have a cabin that you can stay in for the night but it likely won't be one of the quads.

THIS EVENT IS NOT COVERED BY THE SEASON PASS.

The cost of the weekend activities (Saturday dinner 6pm and Sunday breakfast 8am) is as follows:

• Early bird fee paid by August 14, 2026.  $20.00
• Regular fee paid between August 15th and August 21, 2026.   $35.00
• Late fee paid between August 22nd and August 28, 2026.   $50.00

The cost of just the Vigil Honor Breakfast held at 8am Sunday Sept 6th is as follows: 

• Early bird fee paid by August 14, 2026.   $12.00
• Regular fee paid between August 15th and August 21, 2026.  $28.00
• Late fee paid between August 22nd and August 28, 2026.   $43.00

If the payment method of pay my mail they must be postmarked or received at one of the service centers by the cutoff dates to be accepted at the periods cost. ABSOLUTELY NO WALK-INS OR LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED!!!
