Join the Southern Hills Chapter for an afternoon of adventure, fellowship, and one of Western New York's most unique natural wonders!
Everyone is invited to hike the Eternal Flame Falls Trail, home to the famous natural gas flame that burns behind a beautiful waterfall. Whether you're a longtime Arrowman, a new member, a Scout, Scouter, family member, or friend, we'd love to have you join us!
*** This hike Is a fair weather event! If it rains on the 29th we will cancel, as it is not safe to hike that trail in rainy weather***
What to Expect
A medium to difficult hike with uneven terrain, rocks, tree roots, and several steep sections.
A rewarding destination featuring the incredible Eternal Flame Falls, where a small natural flame burns behind the cascading water.
A fun afternoon outdoors with fellow members of the Southern Hills Chapter.
What to Bring
Comfortable hiking shoes or boots with good traction
Water bottle (highly recommended)
Weather-appropriate clothing
Bug spray and sunscreen
Camera or phone for photos
Important Information
The hike is approximately 1.5 to 2 miles round trip, depending on the route taken.
Expect uneven footing and slippery rocks near the waterfall.
The trail is not handicapped accessible.
Youth should be accompanied by an adult.
Please help us follow the principles of Leave No Trace by packing out everything you bring in and respecting the natural environment.
Registration is requested and please bring your sense of adventure!
