Spooktacular Scout Fest & Friend Night! (Oct 24)

Get your costumes ready! We are thrilled to invite you to our inaugural North Star District Spooktacular Scout Fest & Friend Night on Saturday, October 24, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

This is a Bring a Friend event! We encourage every Scout to invite a classmate, neighbor, or buddy along to join in the Halloween fun. The activities are specially tailored for youth ages 5 to 11.

Event Details

Cost: $5 per youth (includes a pumpkin!). Adults are FREE. Registration Closes 10/19

Location: 9 Mile Island, 25-355 Orbit Drive Amherst, NY 14228

Schedule:

3:30 PM: Registration opens & Trunk-or-Treat cars arrive

4:00 PM: Haunted Walk, Yard Games, & Bottle Rockets open

5:00 PM: Trunk-or-Treat begins (Other activities are paused)

5:30 PM: Haunted Walk, Yard Games, & Bottle Rockets Re-open

7:30 PM: Closing Campfire

Highlights of the Night

• Trunk-or-Treat: A safe, fun trick-or-treating experience in the parade field.
• The Pumpkin Patch: Every registered youth gets a pumpkin to decorate with stickers and paint markers to take home.
• The Haunted Walk: A spooky trail that builds in excitement! It starts with a daylight "low-scare" walk for our younger guests and shifts to a twilight walk later in the evening.
• Spooky Launch Pad: Bring a 2-liter pop bottle to decorate and blast into the sky at our high-flying water rocket station. (We will have extra 2 liter bottles)
• Monster Munchies: Hot dogs will be available for purchase at the pavilion.

We Need Your Help to Make This Magically Spooky!

With up-to 150 youth expected, this event relies on our amazing volunteers. Please consider signing up to Host a Trunk-or-Treat Car: Park your car in the parade field by 4:00 PM and pass out candy. To say thank you, all trunk volunteers receive a free hot dog!

REFUND POLICY

EVENT REGISTRATION FEES

Individuals/Groups that cancel their event registration 14 days or more prior to the event date will receive a refund of the total registration fee less a 50% cancellation fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the event date.

CANCELLATION BY THE COUNCIL

If the Council or Scouting America or any agency that has contracted with the Council cancels an event, the Council will issue a full 100% refund (including any Deposit Money).
