Get ready to launch your unit into a successful fall with our upcoming District Popcorn & Membership Kick-Off! This high-energy, information-packed event is designed to equip your leadership team with the tools, strategies, and confidence needed to grow both your program and your impact. From proven techniques for running a successful popcorn sale to effective strategies for recruiting and retaining new Scouts, this kickoff will help position your unit for a strong and successful year.
To ensure your unit is fully prepared, each unit is required to send at least two representatives. One individual should attend as your unit’s Popcorn Coordinator, responsible for leading and managing your unit’s sale, while a second should serve as your Membership Coordinator, focused on recruitment and growth efforts. These roles are essential, and the kickoff will feature two separate, topic-specific sessions happening simultaneously, making it impossible for one person to cover both areas. Having dedicated leaders in each role will directly impact your unit’s success this fall.
In 2026, units that send BOTH a Popcorn Coordinator and a Membership Coordinator will fulfill one of the three requirements needed to earn the bonus 2% popcorn commission. This incentive rewards units that prioritize planning and leadership in both fundraising and membership growth.
