The Scenic Trails District is pleased to honor our dedicated Scouts and Scouters for their hard work in making the Scouting program a success!
Nominations from the following categories will be considered by the Dinner Committee.

• District Award of Merit **Refer to application at bottom of document under attachments
• Cubmaster/Assistant Cubmaster of the Year
• Cub Scouter of the Year
• Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster of the Year
• Scouter of the Year
• Guiding Light Award - Awarded to a volunteer that most exemplifies Scouting Spirit in their action and commitment to scouting. This recipient works to make a difference.
• Pat on the Back Award – For a job well done.
• Pathways Award – Awarded to a Chartered Org. that has gone above and beyond to help a unit.
• Distinguished Youth of the Year (Cub Scout, Scouts BSA, Venturing or Exploring)
• One of the older traditions in Scouting is for Districts to honor volunteers with the “Spark Plug Award”. The award is for those people who make a difference in a Pack, Troop, Ship, Crew, or Post, often in a behind-the-scenes manner, just as a spark plug is out-of-sight but integral to the function and power of the engine.
