Cub Scout 'Outdoor Adventure' at Beaver Meadow
Great Falls Council is delighted to partner with the Buffalo Audubon Society at Beaver Meadow Nature Center to help Cub Scouts earn their Outdoor Adventure!
Den and Pack leaders and parents are welcome to register their Cub Scouts for this outdoorsy program at a beautiful nature center located within our Council.
Saturday, September 20th
10:00 am - 2:00 pm
$24 per Scout
$12 per chaperone
Rain or shine
Youth must be accompanied by a parent or registered Scout leader.
Schedule:
10:00 arrival, bathrooms, welcome
10:15 - 11:45 Naturalist-guided adventure hike
11:45 - 12:15 lunch
12:15 - 1:45 free time to explore independently with chaperones (see below)
1:45 - 2:00 gather gear and head home
- Nature Center admission (open from 10 am - 4 pm)
- Access to grounds: Nature Play (all-natural playground), Storybook Trail, Fairy House Lane, Arboretum, 8 miles of trails, kettle and beaver ponds
Dedicated Cub Scout space: We will reserve the upstairs Great Room and outside deck for you from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm for gear and lunches. We have a commercial refrigerator and water bottle refill station.
The Outdoor Adventure will be earned for Lions, Tigers, and Wolves (with the following pre-requisites completed):
- Look for a tree and describe how it's helpful (Tigers)
- Bring your Six Essentials with you and we will review them (Lions, Tigers, and Wolves)
Minimum: 10 Scouts
Maximum: 20 Scouts
