Legends of the Wild: Realms of the Ancient and Fantastic

Step into a world where adventure roars and magic soars! Cub Scout Day Camp invites Scouts to explore the Legends of the Wild, a journey through time and myth where imagination meets excitement.

In 2026, two weeks of day camp will be offered, each with its own theme. Your Cub can attend either week, or both for an awesome summer adventure. Let your Cub Scout unleash their inner explorer during a summer camp experience they’ll never forget! 

2026 Themes

Week 1: July 13th- 17th, 2026 - Jurassic Giants

Travel back in time to the age of towering dinosaurs and prehistoric beasts! Scouts will stomp into the world of Jurassic Giants, digging into dino-themed crafts, beastly games, Triassic activities, and Cretaceous challenges. Every day will be packed with excitement as scouts explore the wild world of Earth’s ancient rulers.

Week 2: July 20th- 24th, 2026 - Fantastic Beasts

Uncover the secrets of Fantastic Beasts, where legendary creatures roam and stories come to life. Scouts will dive into the world of dragons, mermaids, krakens, and more through creative activities, mythical quests, and epic adventures. Whether sailing with sea serpents or training like dragon riders, Scouts will be fully immersed in the magic of the mythical.

General Camp Information

Cub Scout Day Camp is held annually at Camp Woodland in Constantia, NY - your home for Cub Scout adventure! Put on by a dedicated staff, Cub Scout Day Camp is the highlight of the summer.  By participating in day camp, the scouts will have the opportunity to explore skills, and work on fascinating projects, while at the same time having fun, exploring our natural world, and fostering lasting friendships.You can also expect the scouts to be able to participate in the traditional day camp activities that have been loved for years, such as: Range and target activities, waterfront/swimming, nature, crafts, fishing, and more!

Specific schedules will be available as camp approaches.

Please note that Tigers (Cubs entering first grade in September 2026) require an adult partner present at camp with them per Scouting America policy.

We Want YOU for Camp Staff! Cub Day Camp Staff are dedicated to putting on the best summer program for campers - and have plenty of fun themselves! Camp staff recieve registration discounts for their Cubs based on their staff position. More staffing information to come - contact the Camp Director and Staff Advisor with interest in assisting with one or both weeks.
