Welcome to Sabattis Scout Reservation! For some of you, it is a first-time welcome; for many, it is a welcome back. Whether this is your first time or a return, time spent at Sabattis is something we all treasure and will never forget. We are so excited to have you join us for the 3rd bi-annual Sabattis Fall Camporee. We have put together what we hope is an exciting program that not only lets you test your scout skills against other units but will let you see the camp in its colorful Fall glory. A little about Sabattis Scout Reservation, Named after Mitchell Sabattis, our camp offers the premier wilderness camping experience in the northeast United States, situated on 2,000 acres in the Central Adirondack Park. Sabattis Scout Reservation is a traditional full-featured patrol cooking camp with immediate access to 6,000,000+ acres of state land for hiking and canoeing, fully accredited by the NYS Department of Health and Scouting America. Sabattis is a patrol cooking camp, one of the few camps where this incredible opportunity still exists. Patrols cook their meals during the week, immersing the Scouts in the patrol method and developing teamwork and leadership skills not often developed at dining hall camps.

The main focus of this camporee is patrol competition, with an emphasis on pioneering. Each patrol will have a scorecard to complete in many events (listed in the final packet), and the event worth the most points will be a patrol pioneering project. In addition to the scored events, we are arranging some extracurricular activities that will not count toward the patrol competition but will undoubtedly add to the experience.
