University of Scouting 2026

Join Adult Leaders from across the Finger Lakes and Central New York for a day of fellowship and learning! Scouts and Scouters from Baden-Powell, Seneca Waterways, and Leatherstocking Councils are coming together to a single event training our leaders to deliver the highest quality youth leadership program in the world!

The University of Scouting is an 'all-day' event.  Pleaes plan to arrive by 8:15AM in time for the opening assembly.

With typically 65-70 different courses offered, there is something for EVERYONE at the University of Scouting -- all leaders, parents, and Scouts BSA / Venturing / Sea Scout youth !

MERIT BADGE REQUIREMENTS AND PRE-REQUISITES ARE CURRENTLY BEING UPDATED. 

In addition, Merit Badge courses will be also be offered at the University of Scouting for Scouts-BSA youth.  Scouts who earn partials will need to work with their Unit Leader to identify a Merit Badge Counselor to complete any outstanding requirements.
