During the pandemic this past year, Scouting has not only adapted but also grown in many ways, particularly in our use of technology. Packs and Troops have adapted to come together virtually, and bonded in ways never seen before. The 2020 Ten Commandments Hike was no exception: Our new Virtual Zoom format enabled us to invite churches from across Baden-Powell Council, to bring Scouting families together in a new way and share a uniquely diversified faith experience virtually.
Just like in 2020, this year's “hike” will also take place via Zoom. Those who register will receive information for logging onto the interactive Zoom in which ten congregations within the Baden-Powell Council will each introduce their congregation, and discuss one of the Ten Commandments. You will have the opportunity to post questions in the “chat” and we will answer those questions in between presentations. There will also be a break half-way through to relax, stretch, etc. We will be done in time for lunch; if you would like to take an actual hike as a family, please feel free to go for your hike or walk that afternoon and discuss ideas that you may have learned during our event!
