Baden-Powell Council presents

Astronomy Merit Badge

When: January 23, 2021 from 12-2:00 pm

This Badge will be AT Roberson Museum and Science Center and we will be using their Planetarium! Due to COVID-19, this class is limited to only 10 Scouts for the class. This merit badge class will be on Saturday January 23, 2021 from 12:00-2:00 pm.

The Class will cover the following Requirements: 2, 3, 4, 5a, 5c, 6d, 7, 8a.

Requirements not covered during the class are: 1a-c, 5b, 5d, 6a, 6b, 6c, and 9. These requirements may be written/typed and submitted to the Council Program Director at Chris.Ambra@scouting.org anytime before the class or afterwards, until February 1.

After February 1, Blue Cards/Advancements will be released/mailed to Unit Leaders for In-Council Scouts and to the Scouts directly for Out-of-Council Scouts.

Cost: $40.00/Scout

Parents- Please note- Due to COVID-19 Restrictions, only registered Scouts will be able to enter the Planetarium. We cannot allow parents/family to accompany their Scouts because of the nature of the enclosed environment. Roberson Museum Educators and Council Professional Staff will be present inside the planetarium during the presentation.

Scouts should wear their uniforms. Masks are required.
