Hiawatha District Picnic

The Hiawatha annual District Picnic, which replaces our last District Roundtable is coming up on June 2nd, from 6-8:30 PM at the Waterman Center. All Adult leaders are invited to join us for an evening of recognition and celebration of the Scouting year we have had in 2021-2022, and to get pumped of a summer of adventure and our fall program!
We also want to recognize our leaders for all of the hard work they do, so please look over the list of adult awards and nominate your leaders for awards they may qualify for! We all deserve to be recognized for the hard work we do year-round, why not at a picnic! A list of awards can be found HERE, as well as two District Specific awards are listed below.
THE JACK EGGLESTON BRIDGE BUILDER AWARD: Bridgebuilders are individuals who make a difference in the lives of our youth. They are examples who live out the Scout Law and their Integrity, Honesty, Leadership, Enthusiasm Reliability, Dedication, and Courage can always be relied on. They are Teachers, Team Players, and Role Models — Selfless and Visionary Organizers who inspire and forgive. They make our world a better place! Nominees for this award should exemplify these traits.
HIAWATHA'S HELPERS: The mark of the Helper is a Jumper Cable. Individuals who have stepped up and filled needs in the Hiawatha District and helped out by "jump starting" activities and working across Unit boundaries.
We will have hotdogs and hamburgers for guests to enjoy and are asking any guests to bring a dish to share, and $5 to cover the cost of the meal.
