September 20, 2025 Six Mile Waterworks Albany, NY 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. featuring Fishing Contest and Dutch Oven Cookoff!! Registration in the fishing contest or cookoff is $5 per scout/scouter and includes a hot dog lunch and a sticker.

Dutch-Oven cook off teams are asked to provide all required tools, dutch-ovens, charcoal and safety equipment for safe fire building and outdoor cooking.

Any participant fishing should provide their own fishing gear to include rod, reel, tackle and bait. 

Units are encouraged to use this day as a recruitment event. This is a featured BRING A FRIEND event! 

For Cubs: This is a great opportunity for all fishing adventures to be completed.

CUB SCOUT FISHING ADVENTURES:

All Cub Scout ranks feature fishing electives. Cast a line with your pack or family and earn some belt loops!

Lion-Go Fish, Tiger-Fish On, Wolf-A Wolf Goes Fishing, Bear-A Bear Goes Fishing, Webelos-Catch the Big One, and Arrow of Light-Fishing
