The Range and Target Activities committee is hosting a Shotgun Merit Badge Day at Camp Wakpominee on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026.

While earning their merit badge, Scouts will gain the knowledge, skills, and attitude required to safely handle, shoot, care for, and store bows and arrows.  Participants will demonstrate what they have learned by shooting 5-color targets at Camp Wakpominee's beautiful Archery Range!

Registration Details

• Cost – $10
• Registration is limited to 16 participants
• Location – Archery Range, Camp Wakpominee
• Start – 9:00 AM (please arrive at least 15 minutes early for registration)
• End – 4:30 PM
• Cost covers use of bow, targets, arrows, supplies, safety equipment, and lunch.

Safety Notes

(Based on NYS, Scouting America, and Twin Rivers Council laws, rules, and guidelines.)

• Personal bows are NOT allowed.
  • Bows will be provided by Twin Rivers Council/Camp Wakpominee.
• Safety equipment is mandatory for ALL participants on the range.  
  • Safety equipment will be provided by Twin Rivers Council/Camp Wakpominee.
• All persons must ask permission before entering or leaving the range.
