NYLT 2026 

National Youth Leadership Training is a 6-day long program where scouts learn leadership, communication, planning, problem solving, teamwork and also participate in fun outdoor challenges. At the program's end, the scout will be equipped with the skills necessary to be a great leader in their unit as well as their community.

Rotary Scout Reservation, Averill Park, NY 12018

NYLT is open to youth in Scouts BSA, Sea Scouts, Explorers, and Venturers who meet the following requirements:

• 13 years of age by 8/09/26
• 1st Class rank or higher by 8/09/26
• Completion of Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST)
• Unit Leader recommendation

Payment Options

• Cost: $275 per Scout- Course Participant (Check), $283.25 per Scout (Credit Card)
• $100 deposit required at signup, with 2 remaining installments of $87.50 each by NO LATER THAN 6/30
• Youth Staff and Adult Staff (Full Week) registration payable in 1 installment of $100 check or $103 credit card
• Adult Staff (1/2 Week) registration is payable in 1 installment of $50.00 or $51.50 credit card

Registration closes June 30th, 2026 at 12PM.  After registering, participants and their parents will receive a packet with all the important course information.
