A New Scouting Experience Designed for Today’s Busy Families

At Patriots’ Path Council, we remain committed to making Scouting accessible to families from all walks of life. That’s why we’re proud to introduce Seasonal Scouting — a brand-new, staff-led pilot program tailored for parents who want their children to enjoy the benefits of Scouting, even if they can't commit to traditional volunteer requirements.

What is Seasonal Scouting?

Seasonal Scouting is a 12-week co-ed program for children in 2nd through 4th grade, operated by trained, professional staff—no parental volunteering required. It's a drop-off and pick-up model, making it easy for busy families to provide their children with a positive and enriching experience without added obligations.

This innovative format allows young people to:

• Participate in fun, hands-on activities
• Explore an exciting S.T.E.M.-focused curriculum
• Build lasting friendships and a sense of community
• Experience the values and traditions of Scouting America

Program Details

Start Date: February 7th
Duration: 12 Weeks (Ending April 25th)
Location: Patriots’ Path Council Service Center
Address: 1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ
Who Can Join? Boys and Girls in grades 2–4
Supervision: Professional, trained PPC Scouting staff
Cost: Register by February 1st for the Early Bird $250/After February 1st $300

Grade-Specific Schedule

Each grade level will have a dedicated time slot to ensure age-appropriate activities and individualized attention:

2nd Grade: 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM

3rd Grade: 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

4th Grade: 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM

This structured schedule helps children engage fully with the program in a focused, supportive environment.

Patriots’ Path Council Seasonal Scouting requires that you be a member of Scouting America to attend our programs. For youth who are not registered in a Scouting America pack, we register them as part of this process, at no additional cost to the family. To do that we will be asking for demographic information required by Scouting America. This information helps with statistical data we share as part of our report to the nation and other reports that are requested of us locally about youth served by our organization. None of this information about individuals is shared in anyway inside or outside of our organization. Your child’s registration also allows you to take advantage of Scout programs throughout the year. We can provide you with more information about local units to meet your family’s needs and you can also take advantage of any of our programs that are geared toward families through the PPC Adventure Programs.
