Patriots Path Council Adventure Programs Merit Badge Offerings

Please see below for a current list of all Merit Badges offered through PPC Adventure Programs.  These merit badges will typically be offered at the Council Service Center (1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls) or one of our camps (Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation or Winnebago Scout Reservation).  Occasionally the merit badge will be at an off-site location.  Most of these merit badges will be completed on multiple dates as indicated in the individual registrations.  Attendance by the scouts is required at those dates to complete the merit badge unless otherwise arranged with the MB counselor.

ASTRONOMY MERIT BADGE

Program Dates:

Tuesday, April 1, 2025 - 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM

Tuesday, April 15, 2025 - 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM

Tuesday, April 29, 2025 - 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM

Cost: $25.00 per youth.

Registration is limited to 8 scouts.

Attendance at all sessions required to complete the merit badge.

All sessions will be held at the Patriots' Path Council Service Center, 1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ in the Rufolo Conference Room.

Kevin B. Alton, author of over 50 papers on variable stars and asteroids, will be the merit badge counselor for this exciting program.

AUTOMOTIVE MAINTENANCE MERIT BADGE

Saturday, May 10, 2025- 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

This is a single session program.

Cost: $25.00 per youth.

Registration is limited to 6 scouts.

Attendance at all sessions required to complete the merit badge.

This program will be at  Automotive Magic, 34 Berkshire Valley Road, Kenvil, NJ 07847.

Brian Kallok will be the merit badge counselor for this program.

CITIZENSHIP IN THE COMMUNITY MERIT BADGE

Program Dates:
Thursday, May 15, 2025 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Thursday, May 29, 2025 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Cost: $25.00 per youth.

Registration is limited to 10 scouts.

Attendance at both sessions required to complete the merit badge.

All sessions will be held at the Patriots' Path Council Service Center, 1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ.

Daniel Ambrosiani will be the merit badge counselor for this program.

CITIZENSHIP IN THE WORLD MERIT BADGE

Program Dates:
Tuesday, May 20, 2025 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Tuesday, June 3, 2025 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Cost: $25.00 per youth.

Registration is limited to 10 scouts.

Attendance at both sessions required to complete the merit badge.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS MERIT BADGE

Tuesday, April 24, 2025 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Prerequiste: Scouts must have earned the First Aid Merit Badge to register for this merit badge.

Attendance at all sessions is required to complete this merit badge.

Cost: $25.00 per youth.

Registration is limited to 10 scouts.

Cost: $25.00 per youth.

Registration is limited to 10 Scouts.

Both sessions will be held at Camp Somers, MASR, 750 Waterloo Rd, Stanhope, NJ.

PERSONAL FITNESS MERIT BADGE

Program Dates:

Thursday, January 16, 2025 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Thursday, January 30, 2025 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Attendance at both sessions is required.

Thursday, May 8, 2025 - Tentative date for third meeting- Scouts must complete their 13 week program requirements and then attend the follow up meeting with the merit badge counselor  to complete the merit badge.

Cost: $25.00 per youth.

Prerequisite:  Scouts must complete Requirement 1 (medical/dental exams) before first meeting.

Registration is limited to 15 Scouts.

PERSONAL MANAGEMENT MERIT BADGE SESSION #1
