Patriots' Path Council Adventure Programs Merit Badge Offerings

Please see below for a current list of all Merit Badges offered through PPC Adventure Programs.  These merit badges will typically be offered at the Council Service Center (1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls) or one of our camps (Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation or Winnebago Scout Reservation).  Occasionally the merit badge will be at an off-site location.  Most of these merit badges will be completed on multiple dates as indicated in the individual registrations.  Attendance by the scouts is required at those dates to complete the merit badge unless otherwise arranged with the MB counselor. 

PPC Adventure Programs Presents:

ASTRONOMY MERIT BADGE

This merit badge is offered at the PPC Council Service Center as a four-session program on Tuesday evenings.  Attendance at all four sessions is expected to complete badge requirements. 

Kevin B. Alton, author of over 50 papers on variable stars and asteroids, will be the merit badge counselor for this program. 

Program dates:

May 10, 2022       5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

May 24, 2022       5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

June 14, 2022      5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

June 28, 2022      5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Cost: $20.00 per youth

Registration is limited to 8 Scouts. 

All sessions held in the Rufolo Room with outdoor telescope activities weather permiting. 

Engineering Merit Badge

Program dates:

May 16, 2022 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

June 06, 2022 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Attendance at both sessions is required to complete the merit badge.

Cost: $20.00 per participant.

Registration is limited to 10 Scouts.

Both sessions held in Tuney Lodge, at Camp Somers MASR, 750 Waterloo Road, Stanhope NJ

Tim Farrell will be the merit badge counselor for this program.

Program dates:

June 20, 2022 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

June 27, 2022 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Attendance at both sessions is required to complete the merit badge.

Cost: $20.00 per participant.

Registration is limited to 10 Scouts.

Both sessions held in Tuney Lodge, at Camp Somers MASR, 750 Waterloo Road, Stanhope NJ

Tim Farrell will be the merit badge counselor for this program. 

Auto Maintenance Merit Badge

Program dates:

June 02, 2022 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

June 09, 2022 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Attendance at both sessions is required to complete the merit badge.

Cost: $20.00 per participant.

Registration is limited to 10 Scouts.

Both sessions held in Tuney Lodge, at Camp Somers MASR, 750 Waterloo Road, Stanhope NJ.

Brian Kallok will be the merit badge counselor for this program. 

Electricity Merit Badge 

Program dates:

June 15th 2022 - 7:00 PM to 9: 00 PM

June 29, 2022 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Attendance at both sessions is required to complete the merit badge.

Cost: $20.00 per participant.

Registration is limited to 10 Scouts.

Both sessions held in Tuney Lodge, at Camp Somers MASR, 750 Waterloo Road, Stanhope NJ

Ken Belli will be the merit badge counselor for this program. 

Electronics Merit Badge 

Attendance at both sessions is required to complete the merit badge.

Cost: $40.00 per participant includes cost of kit 

Registration is limited to 10 Scouts.

Program Dates: 

Saturday, June 18, 2022- 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Saturday, June 25, 2022- 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

This merit badge is offered as a two-session program on Saturday mornings. Attendance at both sessions is required to complete the badge.

Scouts will build a working circuit board as part of this program

Plumbing Merit Badge 

Attendance at both sessions is required to complete the merit badge.

Cost: $20.00 per participant 

Registration is limited to 10 Scouts.

Program Dates: 

Wednesday, June 22, 2022- 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Wednesday, June 29, 2022- 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

This merit badge is offered as a two-session program on Wednesday evenings. Attendance at both sessions is required to complete the badge.
