Patriots Path Council Adventure Programs Merit Badge Offerings

Please see below for a current list of all Merit Badges offered through PPC Adventure Programs.  These merit badges will typically be offered at the Council Service Center (1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls) or one of our camps (Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation or Winnebago Scout Reservation).  Occasionally the merit badge will be at an off-site location.  Most of these merit badges will be completed on multiple dates as indicated in the individual registrations.  Attendance by the scouts is required at those dates to complete the merit badge unless otherwise arranged with the MB counselor. 

PPC Adventure Programs Presents: 

CITIZENSHIP IN THE WORLD MERIT BADGE

Program Dates:

Monday, November 4, 2024 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Monday, November 18, 2024 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Attendance at both sessions is required to complete the merit badge. 

Cost: $25.00 per youth.

Registration is limited to 10 Scouts.

Both sessions held at the PPC Service Center, 1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.

Dan Ambrosiani will be the merit badge counselor for this program. 

ELECTRONICS MERIT BADGE

Program Date:

Saturday, November 16, 2024 - 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

ALL DAY SINGLE SESSION CLASS

Scouts will recieve a kit and build a working circuit board as part of this program.

Cost:  $40.00 per youth (includes kit).

Registration is limited to 10 Scouts.

This program will be held at Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation, 750 Waterloo Road, Stanhope, NJ 07874

Jeff Winkler will be the merit badge counselor for this program.

FAMILY LIFE MERIT BADGE - SOLD OUT

Program Dates:

Sunday, September 22, 2024 - 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Sunday, Ocotber 6, 2024 - 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Attendance at both sessions is required.

Wednesday, January 12, 2025 - Tentative date for third meeting - Scouts must conplete their 90 day program requirements and then a have a follow up meeting with the merit badge counselor to complete the badge.

Cost: $25.00 per youth.

Registration is limited to 10 Scouts.

Both sessions will be held at Eagle's Landing, Camp Somers, Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation, 750 Waterloo Rd, Stanhope NJ.

Deb Reidmiller will be the merit badge counselor for this program.

FAMILY LIFE MERIT BADGE Session #2 - SOLD OUT

Program Dates:

Thursday, September 26, 2024 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Thursday, October 10, 2024 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Attendance at both sessions is required.

Wednesday, January 16, 2025 - Tentative date for third meeting - Scouts must conplete their 90 day program requirements and then a have a follow up meeting with the merit badge counselor to complete the badge.

Cost: $25.00 per youth.

Registration is limited to 10 Scouts.

Both sessions held at the PPC Service Center, Rufalo Room, 1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.

MUSIC MERIT BADGE

Program Dates:

Monday, December 2, 2024 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Monday, December 16, 2024 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

*Scouts should bring their musical instrument; a music stand and music selection of their choice to the first session.

Attendance at both sessions is required.

Cost: $25.00 per youth.

Registration is limited to 10 scouts.

First two sessions will be held at the  PPC Service Center, 1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.

Debbie Minnea will be the merit badge counselor for this program.

PERSONAL FITNESS MERIT BADGE

Programs Dates:

Tuesday, December 3, 2024 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Tuesday, December 17, 2024 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

*3rd session to be arranged with counselor upon completion of approved 90-day personal fitness plan.

Prerequisite: Scouts must complete Requirement 1 (medical and dental exams) before first meeting.

Attendance at all sessions is required. 

Cost: $25.00 per youth.

Registration is limited to 12 scouts.

First two sessions will be held at the  PPC Service Center, 1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.

Douglas Gable will be the merit badge counselor for this program.

PROGRAMMING MERIT BADGE

*Scouts must complete the appropriate "Personal Safety Awareness" videos for their rank, prior to the the program.

Program Dates:

Tuesday, November 5, 2024 - 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Tuesday, November 19, 2024 - 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Attendance at both sessions is required to complete the badge.

Cost: $25.00 per youth.

Scouts will need a personal laptop to participate in the merit badge activity.

Registration limited to 5 Scouts.

Both sessions will be held at the PPC Service Center, 1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.

Naved Surve will be the merit badge counselor for this program.

TRAFFIC SAFETY MERIT MADGE

Program Dates:

Monday, November 18, 2024 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Monday, December 2, 2024 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Attendance at both sessions is required to complete the badge.

Cost: $25.00 per youth.

Registration limited to 10 Scouts.
