The Fishawack District’s Annual Scouts BSA Klondike Derby.
Scout Patrols will drag or push Klondike sleds over a predetermined route, testing their Scouting knowledge, skills, teamwork, physical endurance, and mental ingenuity.

Where:
Camp Somers at Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation - 750 Waterloo Road, Stanhope.

When:
Saturday, February 3rd, 2024.

Registration dates:
Registration is now open.
Registration runs through January 26, 2024 with late registration running after that to January 31st.

Cost:
$20 per person if registered by January 26th. After that, registration costs $25. There is a 2 adult minimum per troop at $20 each. You will automatically be charged for two adult leaders.  Only enter the number of Scouts on the registration page.

LATE REGISTRATIONS AND WALK-INS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM TROOPS THAT HAVE ALREADY REGISTERED BY JANUARY 26th.

NO OTHER LATE REGISTRATIONS OR WALK-INS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Check in on February 3, 2024 starts at 7:45 am. (bring two copies of your roster to check in). 

Opening ceremony is at 8:45 am. 

Competition closes at 3:30 pm.

Awards will be announced at 4:30 pm.

This is a day event but cabins are available for troop camping. To reserve a cabin contact Klondike Governor, Gary Treubig, gtbsa@optonline.net, by January 26, 2024. If we do not have enough cabins for all requests, a lottery will be held on January 27, 2024. 

Each Troop must register 2 adult leaders.  Additional leaders are encouraged to attend.

Junior Scouts may not have reached their 14th birthday AND have not yet reached Star rank.

Senior Scouts may not have reached their 18th birthday.

There is a separate caegory for Venture Crews (ages 14 to 20).

Sleds are mandatory. Adults must not follow sleds.
