The Fishawack District’s annual Scouts BSA Klondike Derby is back.
Scout patrols will drag Klondike sleds over predetermined routes, testing their Scouting knowledge, skills, teamwork, physical endurance, and mental ingenuity.

Where:
Camp Somers at Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation - 750 Waterloo Road, Stanhope.

When:
Saturday, February 4th, 2023.

Registration dates:
December 7th 2022 - January 27th 2023 January 30th with late registration running after that to February 2nd.

Cost:
$15.00 per person if registered by January 27th. After that, registration costs $20.00. There is a 2 adult minimum per troop at $5.00 each.

NO LATE UNIT REGISTRATIONS OR WALK-INS ACCEPTED. 

LATE REGISTRATIONS AND WALK-INS WILL BE ACCEPTED AS LONG AS THEIR TROOP HAS ALREADY REGISTERED.

Check in on February 4th starts at 7:45 am. (bring two copies of your roster to check in). 

Opening ceremony is at 8:45 am. 

Competition closes at 3:30 pm.

Awards will be announced at 4:30 pm.

This is a day event but cabins are available for troop camping. To reserve a cabin contact Klondike Governor, Ed Mostert, emostertbsa@att.net, by December 29, 2022. If we do not have enough cabins for all requests, a lottery will be held on December 30, 2022. 

Each Troop must register 2 adult leaders.  Additional leaders are encouraged to attend.

Team members of Junior Scouts BSA sleds / teams may not have reached their 14th birthday AND have not yet reached Star rank;

Team members of Senior Scouts BSA sleds / teams may not hae reached their 18th birthday.

There is a separate caegory for Venture Crews (ages 14 to 20).

Sleds are mandatory. Adults should not follow sleds.
