Fall 2024

Star Gazing

Lean about the night sky and identify various constellations through high power telescopes.  Includes a snack..

$15 per Cub Scout, parents and siblings under 5 are free.  

Friday, September 22, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Camp Somers, MASR, 750 Waterloo Road, Stanhope, NJ 

Friday, October 20, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Watchung Reservation Scout Camping Area, Mountainside, NJ 

Backyard Birds

Learn about the birds in your back yard and build a cool bird feeder. Go for a discovery hike and enjoy a snack.  

$15 per scout (includes kit). Additional kits $8.00. Adults and siblings under 5 are free (kit not included).  Registration is limited to 20 participants per session.

Two sessions per date, two hours each.

Rockets

Build and launch a rocket!  

$15 per cub scout. Registration is limited to 16 scouts per session.

Two Scouts build ONE Rocket.  Additional kits can be purchased for $8.00, but will not be assembled due to time constraints.

Two sessions per date, 1.5  hours each.

Halloween Fun- TBD

Holiday Workshop

Cub Scouts and families are invited to enjoy a morning or afternoon building a fun holiday gift project. Flintlocks will be available to help with construction.

Cost: $15.00 per youth includes choice of kit: handy box, handy bench (stepstool), birdhouse or birdfeeder.

Adults and children under 5 free (kit not included).

Includes hot chocolate and cookies!

Additional kits:  $8.00
