For the August 28th class, as per CDC recommendations and current building policy, anyone attending the class who has not yet been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (must have received second dose no later than August 14, 2021) will be required to wear a mask.

To receive credit for completing the course, Scouts must take the online class at https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/training/den-chief-training/.

DEN CHIEF TRAINING

Those who should take this training are:

Scouts already serving as den chiefs, who are not yet trained. Scouts who will be serving as den chiefs in the near future. Scouts who are thinking about asking to serve as den chiefs -- Note that even if you do not actually become den chiefs, much of what you’ll learn will be useful to you as Scouts when serving in other leadership positions, such as troop guides and patrol leaders.

 While there is no cost, registration is required in advance.  No walk-ins are allowed without advance permission of course director.

Several days before the class, take the on-line course, Den Chief Training Fast Start, https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/training/den-chief-training/. It should take about 30 minutes to complete. 

Make sure you bring a pen or pencil.

Wear your class "A" Uniform.

Obtain your own Den Chief Handbook.  It's available at the Council Scout Shops in Cedar Knolls and Mountainside.
