The Outdoor Adventure Challenge is a series of multi-day camping adventures at Camp Wheeler, open to Scouts and Venturers. These events provide the opportunity to enjoy outdoor adventure close-to-home, with the support of Patriots' Path Council's experienced camp staff and volunteers. Adventures include all meals, and participants will earn the Adventure Challenge patch, and the rocker for each challenge they complete. These events are open to troops, crews, patrols, and individual participants.

The Fall Trail Adventure and 50 Miler are two separate programs running over the NJ Teachers' Convention break.

Fall Trail Adventure features tent camping and outdoor cooking. Participants practice their skills with a mountain biking clinic with multiple courses and challenges, and culminates in a 25 mile bike ride on the Sussex Rail Trail system. Rental bikes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. For those not comfortable riding the trails, extended hikes will be guided through Allamuchy State Park, and canoeing on the Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation waterways.

The Fall 50 Miler is a four-day trek for the thrill-seeking scout, featuring biking, trail hiking, and canoeing legs. Participants spend the first night at base camp, and set off on their adventure the next morning.
